Winter in Sydney is fickle. It can be pouring rain for 8 days straight, followed by gamma ray explosions that have you reaching desperately for the UV 30+ and dinnerplate sized sunhat. As a result, my wardrobe has to endure multiple moodswings according to the daily forecast. This is a typical weekly monologue in the month of July:
"I'm wearing all black forever. I'm like morticia addams on crack and never taking this trenchcoat off!"
"the clouds are gone and so are these boots! where's that mint nailpolish I need a fresh pedi! oooh midriff tops!"
"FRACK WHY DID I BUY 2 PAIRS OF PALAZZO SHORTS ON SALE? THEY WERE ON SALE BECAUSE I CAN'T ACTUALLY WEAR THEM FOR 3 MORE MONTHS! DIRT IDIOT!"
It was quite exhausting and a little mentally unstable. So this week instead of succumbing to the frustration, I decided to move freely with whatever mother nature could throw at me. Wax on, wax off, be one with the fly that kind of thing... should I have paid more attention that one time I took a class in meditation? Anyways, when spring break sunshine interrupted by puffs of icy wind and sweeping clouds with committment issues came along I had no problem! Threw on some breathable (literally)boyfriend jeans, relaxed supersoft tank, snuggie quality cardigan, bright lipstick, oversided shades and kickass jewelry to beat my fashion blues away.
your move winter. i've got this.
